On the Way to Stryszów - Paintings by Włodzimierz Dobrzański
The exhibition of paintings by Włodzimierz Dobrzański is a unique encounter of art, history, and memory. The works on display showcase the oeuvre of an artist whose work is connected, among other things, to the history of the place and the family of the former owners of the Stryszów manor. Although deeply rooted in tradition, his paintings are open to contemporary explorations.
Włodzimierz Dobrzański's work represents an interesting blend of inspiration from classical painting with a bold approach to contemporary forms of expression. His works reveal inspiration from the works of the Old Masters, which the artist combines with a modern abstract sensibility.
Motifs of nature, portraiture, and landscape frequently appear in his paintings, with color playing a key role. The artist seeks a balance between the order of classical painting and the freedom of abstraction, drawing on art history while also searching for his own language.
The exhibition aims not only to showcase the artistic value of the works but also to remind us of the importance of memory. Through this presentation, the Stryszów Museum becomes a space where art revives memory.
The exhibition will be on view from April 26, 2026, to July 5, 2026.
