The Crown of the Świnna Poręba Dam Opens May 1, 2026
The 2026 tourist season will begin this coming May weekend at the crown of the Świnna Poręba Dam and will last until the end of September.

The dam and the reservoir of Lake Mucharskie (Zapora w Świnnej Porębie) have been a popular destination for excursions and recreation since 2017. Situated in the picturesque surroundings of the Beskid Mały Mountains, the facility has been attracting nature lovers and photographers for years. A walk along its crown is not only an opportunity to see the impressive structure up close, but above all, a chance to enjoy stunning views of Lake Mucharskie and the surrounding hills. An ideal place to take a breather and capture beautiful shots.
The Świnna Poręba Dam (Wadowice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship) is located at km 26.6 of the Skawa River, in the town of Świnna Poręba. The facility is located approximately 6 km south of Wadowice, on road no. 28 leading towards Sucha Beskidzka.
