At the Municipal Museum, "Meetings. Photographs from Wadowice"

An exhibition of photographs from various periods and on diverse themes will open our museum's new exhibition season. The exhibition focuses on meetings, relationships, and bonds captured in photographs. People of all ages were portrayed, captured both in the studio and during social gatherings, important events, and life-changing moments.

All the figures share a connection to Wadowice. The story we tell through these photographs focuses on the relationships and bonds captured in the frame. Residents of Wadowice also contributed to the project, donating photographs from their private collections, which will be on display at the exhibition.

The exhibition opening, combined with a lecture by Dr. Magdalena Zych, entitled "See You Soon. Eyewitnesses to the Past," will take place on Friday, January 23rd at 5:30 PM at the Municipal Museum. The exhibition will run until April 19th.

Dr. Magdalena Zych is a cultural anthropologist, long-time curator and curator at the Ethnographic Museum in Krakow, and holds a PhD in Humanities. From 2009 to 2025, she coordinated research projects at this institution, creating publications and exhibition projects. She fosters collaboration between artists, activists, and the academic community.
