Karol Wojtyla as a student repeatedly took part in a school trip Gron (then Jaworzyna) and the nearby Leskowiec. The last time came on Leskowiec as a cardinal in 1970. After the Mass celebrated on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of priesthood in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska.
In 1995 on mountain established the Chapel of Our Lady Queen of the Mountains as a gift tourists to the Holy Father John Paul II.
At mountain of John Paul II, they are organized occasional masses.
