About the muzuem
In the Town Museum can watch multimedia exhibition "Wadowice. The city where it all began" telling the history of the city and everyday life in the interwar period that is at times attributed to the childhood and youth of Karol Wojtyla. It is an innovative combination of archival photographs, documents, exhibits with multimedia means.
To enter the exhibition invite the pope's words uttered the 16 June 1999 at Wadowice market. Visiting the exhibition begins with the first room, which presents the oldest history of the city. With the presented exhibits and films can understand the phenomenon hometown of St. Pope John Paul II. The second room was dedicated wadowickiemu and life -school education to the students. Visitors can try their hand at calligraphy and counting on an abacus. The third relates to Wadowice main square, which was not only a place of commerce but also space for walking and meeting people. You can view the presentation telling how at times once in Wadowice. In the fourth hall of the museum visitor will learn about the history and activities of the Gymnastic Society "Falcon". The tourist can see a presentation of the cultural and social life and sports that pulsated in the hometown of Karol Wojtyła. The last is workshop room where visitors can print exposure on the nineteenth -century printing press certificate of morality and then supplement them with a pen and conquer seal. There is posible also dress up in period costume and take a photo at an arranged atelier .

Tuesday - Sunday 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. (last admission at 3:45p.m.)

- The last visitors are admitted to exposures for half an hour before closing time
- Half-price ticket to the museum paid for the presentation of a document valid for discounts
