Manor House in Stryszów

A fortified manor built in the 16th century and rebuilt in the 18th century. Currently, it is a branch of the Wawel Royal Castle museum. It is a unique example of an old-time residential building.

The interior of the manor presents a dwelling of a middle-class nobleman in the 19th century. It includes a living room with an 18th century polychromy, a dining room, a study furnished by the owner of the manor and a bedroom. The interiors are richly furnished – some of the furniture has been imported by the former owners from Vienna or Paris.

The Manor House in Stryszów invites to museum lessons aimed at primary schools in the Stryszów Commune and ultimately at schools throughout the Wadowice County. The subject matter of the classes is part of the core curriculum for teaching history. The student gets to know the history and tradition of his neighborhood and people who deservedly deserve it; knows local monuments and describes their history.
